Two Bay Area Sutter Health Hospital Campuses Earn Top Grades in Latest Safety Scorecard

Antioch, Calif., Nov. 3, 2015—Two Bay Area Sutter Health-affiliated hospital campuses earned A grades for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group® in its Fall 2015 Hospital Safety Score℠. Additionally, two Sacramento area Sutter Health-affiliated hospitals also earned top grades.

“Our team was so excited to hear this news!” says Dori Steven’s, the medical center’s CEO. “All of the staff has been focused on patient safety, speaking out for patient safety, so it is fantastic to see we were nationally recognized for our efforts. Twice annually, more than 2,500 hospitals nationwide participate in The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Score program. The national employer organization grades hospitals on their overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors.
