Sutter Delta’s Nurse Internship Program Looking for 2014 Interns

Sutter Delta’s Nurse Internship Program has received national recognition from  OnlineLPNtoRN as one of the nation’s top 99 programs to help transition newly graduated RNs to an acute care hospital setting.

Sutter Delta’s Internship Program offers one-on-one mentoring by an RN leader who specializes in departments such as emergency, labor and delivery, telemetry, or surgery. In addition to gaining acute care experience, the program also includes weekly didactics, clinical conferences, and free access to classes offered by SDMC and intern support.

About Sutter Delta’s Nurse Internship Program

Sutter Delta launched their Nurse Internship Program the fall of 2009 with only 10 interns. Now, the program takes up to 20 interns twice a year.

Since its start in 2009, 68 percent of interns who completed the program were hired by Sutter Delta. Other interns successfully gained employment at other hospitals with the acute-care internship experience they acquired through the program.
